VARIFOLD® ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTS, INC. was established in 1966 by Architect Cesar S. Vergel de Dios, FUAP, FPIA, recognized as one of the leading stalwarts of the architectural profession among his peers.  During his time, he was a prolific practicing architect, eventually being appointed as Chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture.  However, he is best known in his field today because of his vision and development of a partition that could be easily opened and closed as a replacement for traditional fixed doors.  The very first VARIFOLD® Folding Door was the culmination of his patented folding design.  His success at perfecting this new “architectural wonder of the 60’s” marked the beginning of his pioneering business in the manufacture and sale of the first folding door and partition in the Philippines.  In a market where only expensive imports were being sold, the locally-manufactured VARIFOLD® Folding Door offered customers a better designed, superior quality product over available imports, at an affordable cost.

In the 1970’s, the company began to further establish itself as the Philippine’s premier folding partition company, adding several new product lines to its basic folding doors, in order to better serve the institutional, commercial, and industrial accounts, as well as to meet its residential market’s changing needs. 

Today, it continues to lead the industry in research, development, and innovation, with a complete product line offering at par with the world’s best.  Aside from its line of VARIFOLD® Folding Doors and Partitions, the company also carries VARIWALL® Operable Walls, Demountable Partitions, Modular and Portable Walls; the VERSASCREEN® Mobile Room Dividers; and the VARILUXE® Sliding Wardrobe Door Systems, completing its full-range of partition offerings.  In recent years, a focus on providing outstanding acoustic performance is testament to VARIFOLD®’s current SCREENMASTER™, SPACEMASTER™, and SOUNDMASTER™ Operable Walls.

After more than a half century in the business, VARIFOLD®, since 2010, is now under the new ownership, dynamic management, and progressive product innovation of its founder’s son, J.D. Cesar M. Vergel de Dios, who is leading a new generation best-suited to the task of carrying on his father’s legacy, vision, and the company’s tradition of product excellence.
